Dr Mansoor S. Almalki
I’m Dr Mansoor S. Almalki, I work as an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics, Dean of Supportive Studies, and Director of the English Language Centre at Taif University. I obtained my PhD from the University of Melbourne (Language Assessment) in 2014 & my MA in TESOL from Curtin University in 2009, I hold Cambridge Train the Trainer & CELTA certificates, and taught English for several years in Saudi Arabia as well as in Australia. My main research interests include language assessment, teacher identity, professional development, blended approaches in language education, and qualitative research methods in applied linguistics.
Dr Ghazi Algethami
I am an Associate Professor in Linguistics at Taif University. I am interested in second language acquisition, in particular how speech and pronunciation are learned and taught. I also have a professional experience in academic quality assurance, accreditation, and development.
Dr. Reem Alkhammash
Dr. Reem Alkhammash is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and the Vice-Director of the English Language Centre at Taif University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Linguistics from Queen Mary University of London and an MA from Essex University. She is a Cambridge certified teacher trainer and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy/ has achieved the status of Fellow (FHEA) from Advance HE.
I graduated from Taif university in 2007 with a BA in the English language. Prior to joining Taif University, I taught learners of all ages in public schools for seven years. In 2014, I joined Taif University as an EFL instructor. In 2017, I obtained my MA degree from the University of Glasgow in linguistics and English Language. Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh. My interests are situated within the field of Applied Linguistics whcih include English Medium Instruction (EMI) in higher education, language attitudes, and speech perceptions.
Amal Ali Alharthi
I hold a master’s degree in curriculum and methodology. I’m currently a PhD candidate in English composition and applied linguistics at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My research interests include art-based research, poetic ethnography, autoethnography, and creative writing. My teaching is inspired by feminist pedagogies which value students’ voices, experiences and diversity.

Salha Salem Alqahtani
I am an experienced English Language instructor at Taif University. I have an MA in Translation Studies, Leicester University, the UK, 2014. I have TESOL Diploma, 2016. I have a BA in English Language, TU, 2009. I am a certified teacher trainer from CUP. I participate in different PD teacher trainings workshops and symposiums. I have been teaching English at TU since 2014. I am an active member of several units and a coordinator of different courses and colleges. Currently, I working on to be a CELTA certified teacher. I just obtained my MA in applied linguistics from The University of Queensland. My research interests focus mainly the language learner as an individual within a sociocultural framework. I’m particularly interested in studying the development of L2 learners’ inner speech from a sociocultural perspective. MA thesis explored Saudi ESL learners’ perceptions towards the role of inner speech in English learning. I also plan to further investigate L2 inner speech in my PhD study. My other research interests include: students’ uptake of teacher’s feedback, second langauge acquisition, and the sociocultural framework for L2 learning and teaching

Dr. Ghadah Albarqi
I have PhD from the University of Reading, UK. I am Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). I worked as a sessional lecturer at the University of Reading over the last three years. I was nominated as a School Rep for postgraduate students of the school of Literature and Languages at the University of Reading (the student union). I volunteered in a number of events at the University of Reading and the Saudi Cultural Bureau in London. I presented in a number of international conferences and reviewed some papers. I have some paper under review and other works in progress. My main areas of interest are psycholinguistics; second language (L2) acquisition, processing and production; L2 self-monitoring; the effects of working memory capacity on L2 processing, and academic writing.

I am Hind Mashrah, a PhD student at the University of Southampton in Applied Linguistics/ELT. Besides, I am an EMI, ESP and EAP lecturer since 2014. Amani Dakheel Allah Radhi Althomali
I am an experienced lecturer and a certified trainer at Taif university, ELC. I graduated from Taif university with a master’s degree of Curricula and Methods of Teaching English with first honor. I have experience of teaching a range of levels & courses. I worked at Umm AlQurra University in Makkah. Muhammad Nasrullah Khan

I am an English language instructor. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Education (Academic English major) in 1998. Regarding my postgraduate degree, I had two diplomas in educational technology and curriculum and methods of teaching English. I’m CELTA (in classes /face to face) and Academic IELTS holder in 2019. I have been teaching English in Egypt and Saudi Arabia through state schools and at Taif University for 22 years up till now. Paul Mokake Ekume
My name is Paul Mokake Ekume. I am a member of the ELC team at the Khurmah male branch, and I hold a BA in English language.
I am modest, enthusiastic, detailed, confident, and I have a great sense of humour. Added to these are my interpersonal skills and my concise communication at all levels. I have gained valuable experience as an English teacher at Taif University where I am rapidly adapting to innovative teaching and learning methods and environments.
In terms of teaching techniques, I would ascribe critical thinking to one of the most resourceful learning skill. I have a keen interest in curriculum development and the use of ICTs in the classroom.
I have been teaching since 2002. Teaching should be our passion and it is mine indeed. My best teaching methodology is student – centered discussion. And at the end of each school year, I like to ask myself: “What are the best teaching methods I’ve used this year?” By examining my practice and identifying my best teaching methods, I can ensure they are fully incorporated into next year’s lessons.

I am a master degree holder and a CELTA certified teacher. I have been teaching English Language since 2000 at the three different stages of learning in the public sector of three different countries, Egypt, Libya and Saudi Arabia. As for my job at the university stage, it started in 2013 when I worked as a coordinator at Imam Mohamed Bin Saud University for one year and then an instructor of English Language in ELC at Taif University up to date . Totally, if I wouldn’t be a teacher, I would like to be a teacher because I am fond of teaching EFL. Born and raised in London England, I currently teach English at the English Language Center at Taif University. I have attended a one-year Teacher Training Program at Portland State University in the USA where I received a certificate equivalent to TESL. I am a CELTA certified teacher with 15 years of experience. I am holding Vocational and Special Diploma in English Methodology. I am working as an English Instructor at TUELC, Khurma Campus. I have been working as Khurma Male Campus Coordinator for 7 years now.
I’m a Cambridge certified teacher trainer, and a CELTA certified teacher. I have been teaching English as a second/foreign language for more than 23 years for all levels in Tunisia and KSA.
I have also acted as the supervisor of TUELC Testing Unit (for 4 years), a course coordinator, and the coordinator of the IELTS test run jointly by idp and Taif University. Currently, I’m teaching an IEAP course. I’m mainly interested in testing and assessment.
Alfatih Gadallah Alnaeem Abdulrahim
I am Alfatih Gadallah. I am certified teacher trainer by Cambridge University Press. I am from Sudan. I have over 15 years’ experience of teaching and supervising English programs both in Sudan and Saudi Arabia. Now I am an academic coordinator and CLMS admin at Taif University. I hold Master’s Degree in applied linguistics and PhD in progress.
I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in teaching English Language and Literature from a prestigious university in Tunisia and I enriched my professional career with a CELTA certificate as well as a teacher trainer certificate from Cambridge UP. I have always been trying to deliver my lessons that way during the last 20 years. It was challenging and inspiring at the same time.Currently, I am supervising the Registration Unit. The R.U is comparable to a colossal machine which you have to dismantle and remount every semester for better functioning. Imagine the huge efforts invested to achieve this objective. However, work in this unit teaches you how to face unsurmountable situations with bravery and optimism. It also teaches you patience and endurance.
